OUTNUMBERED AND LOVING IT

Welcome to the Sanchez Family. We are a God loving, church going, unconditional loving, Army family of three wild and crazy boys and one 100 pound english bulldog, taking it one day at a time. I'm the mom, the only girl in the house, and the Queen. Hang on tight, it's sure to be a wild ride!

What happens when you are nursing the baby and the toddler is running wild....

The Wiggles fell victim to Isaiah and landed under the DVD player. I couldn't figure out why the DVD player wouldn't close. After taking it apart I found the Wiggles smiling up at me! I just can't keep up with him and he always seems to act up when I am nursing and can't get to him...smart little guy isn't he?! Dr. Abbott told me that he would be a terror until Noah was about 4 months old...if he makes it that long it will be a miracle! The only thing keeping him alive now is his cute smiling face!!

2 week appointment!

Yesterday Noah had his two week appointment with Dr. Chang. He is a really nice doctor, just not Dr. Abbott, really not even close. I was really wishing I could have been taking him to see Lindsey and Amanda yesterday but it is just not meant to be! Don't worry, we will be visiting as soon as we get to KY. I will probably use that time to double check all that Dr. Chang has told me...yes I am that kind of mom! He does take his time and spend as much time as you need answering questions and just chatting. I like that about him. He does seem to be on top of things and that's good too.

Noah weighed in at 9 pounds and 2 ounces and is 21 inches long already. He is already in the 57 percentile in his weight, not really surprising for my children. He has been really fussy the past couple of nights and I thought his reflux was getting worse. I said something to Dr. Chang and the medicine is weight based, so, since he gained almost 2 pounds in a week and a half he needs more medicine. We changed the dosage and last night was much better. He said we would have to keep an eye on how he was acting and if it gets worse again bring him in for a weight check and maybe a change in the amount of medicine that he gets. His umbilical cord fell off but there is still some left in his belly button. Dr. Chang had to use some sort of medicine on a stick and now it is turning black and drying up. He still can not have a tub bath until that happens. I was all set to give him his first bath last night, but now it will have to wait. It already looks a lot better this morning so maybe it will heal fast. Other than that he is perfect, which I already knew! Here are some new pictures and some of the van and the house, mostly unpacked!

More pictures!

My first week at home alone and a new car!

Today starts my first week at home with no help! My mom left on Saturday and Cesar went to work today. So far so good. I got Z to school on time, and now both the little ones are sleeping and I am trying to update the blog. I have dinner on the stove and the laundry started. The only hard thing about today is that for Zachary's school Tuesday's are minimum days, which means he gets out of school every Tuesday at 12:48, right in the middle of Isaiah's nap. I am fortunate to have my mother in law live right around the corner and she is going to pick him up today. It saves me from having to wake up a toddler to early then having to deal with him later when he is over tired!

Noah is doing great, gaining weight and eating like a pig. He is a pretty good sleeper, only getting up 2 to 3 times a night to eat and then going right back to sleep. Much better than Isaiah, even now! For that I am thankful. He is a pretty content baby too. Good thing, his middle brother demands a lot of attention! Isaiah is having a rough time. He is really getting mean lately. He hits and bites Zachary and EVERYTHING is his. He says "no" and "mine" all day long. My doctor says that this will last for about 4 months and then he should be adjusted and back to normal. He will be lucky if he makes it 4 months! I feel bad for Z, he just puts up with it and goes on. I am so blessed to have a child like him, easy going and super helpful! We are still trying to get into some sort of routine, it is so important for me. I love routines! I am sure it will come, I know I need to be patient!

I have been really missing my grandfather lately. He has really been on my mind a lot the past couple of days. I think it's because I really wish he could have been here to see Noah, I know he is seeing him from above. I just wanted to have him hold him and here him tell me and gran what a "dandy" he is. So I dressed Noah in his baseball outfit yesterday and had a good cry. I felt much better after that. Later that evening when I was watching a movie with Z the song "Put me in coach" came on and that's when I knew Granddaddy was right there, smiling down saying what a "dandy" Noah was.

We had been using my brother in law's car since we got here and they needed it back so we went yesterday to try to find a van. We got a great deal on a Dodge Caravan and brought it home yesterday! I love the van. I will post some pictures of it later, I haven't had a chance to take any yet!

Reflux---Again!

I have thought since the day that we brought Noah home that he had reflux like his brother. I tried waiting it out but the more days that passed the worse it got. I call the doctor on Friday, made an appointment and came home with Zantac, just like Isaiah! The good news is that I knew what it was and Noah didn't suffer as long as Isaiah did. He takes the Zantac twice a day and everything is much better!

In other news he now weighs 7 pounds and 8 ounces! My children gain weight with NO problem! He came home from the hospital at 6 pounds and 13 ounces, that's what he weighed at his 2 day check on Tuesday and on Friday he gained WAY past his birth weight!

I will post some new pictures later. We are heading to Grandma's and Papa's to have lunch and do a little swimming so I will have some new pictures later!

Noah Edward

Introducing Noah Edward Sanchez!

Noah Edward was born April 18th at 5:17am weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces and he was 19 inches long. He was one day away from his due date. He was born at Loma Linda Medical Center in Loma Linda CA. I had been to the hospital earlier in the day with what I thought was fluid leakage and some contractions but they sent me home at around 7 saying that I was not in active labor. Cesar and I went to get the boys at his mother's house and ended up staying for dinner. Papa made quesadillas and beans and they were great! We went home, put the boys to bed and then the contractions really started! At around 9:30 I thought I couldn't take it anymore but I did not want to be the mother they sent home twice in one day, especially with her 3rd child! So I waited it out as long as I could. I woke Cesar up at 12:00 and we called his mom and headed to the hospital. On the way we ran into traffic, only in CA at midnight would you run into traffic. The hospital is only 25 minutes away and the contractions were horrible! I have no tolerance for pain and it was bad! We got to the hospital and finally got the epidural, it was heaven! I took a little nap and then at 5 am the doctor came in to check me and I was at 10. She asked me if I wanted her to break my water or wait, I said break it! She broke my water at 5:09 and two pushes later Noah was born at 5:17! It was the easiest labor of all three!

We went home Sunday evening and have been busy getting the house together ever since. He is a wonderful baby, only getting up twice at night. Zachary is a great big brother and Isaiah is adjusting better then I thought he would. He loves him, sometimes a little too much! I love being a mom to these boys and it is a great feeling to know my family is complete. I will be posting lots of pictures soon. Here are the ones from the hospital and the first few days at home!

Easter Pictures

Happy Easter 2009!

We had a nice Easter weekend. We went to my brother in laws and colored eggs on Friday and decorated cupcakes that were delicious! The kids got to play a little and then Ryan came home with us to spend the night. Cesar took the big boys to see Monster's vs. Aliens in 3D on Saturday and they loved it. We woke up Sunday and the Easter Bunny had visited with lots of goodies for the boys and Dina. We headed off to church and then home for a great lunch and Easter egg hunt. This was the first time Isaiah really got into it and he loved hunting the eggs. The weather was beautiful and Papa opened the pool so Zachary took advantage of it and swam all day. The water was like ice but it didn't matter to him. I took lots of pictures so beware! I wanted my mom to be able to see all the things the kids did this weekend.

No Noah yet, still the same, 4 cm. I go back next Wednesday so we shall see. We can move into the new house on Wednesday so I hope he holds off until at least Thursday now. I am going to ask her about inducing on Friday so my mom can be here. I will keep you updated.

Beach Pictures

We went to the beach!!

Today we tried out a new church over here and then decided that the day was going to be so nice we would hang out at the beach for awhile! It was Isaiah's first time going so we were excited to see how he would react. The weather was perfect, not to hot and not to cold, the water on the other hand was FREEZING! Not that it bothered Zachary in the least bit. He is the one who used to love a cold bath, not my child! Isaiah hated the dry sand, wouldn't stand in it at all and stayed on the blanket until someone picked him up. I am thinking this might make a good babysitter, a little sand, and he is stuck! He did walk around down closer to the ocean and then screamed when the water hit his toes! His father is a little disappointed! I am sure he will get used to it. Zachary couldn't wait to get in and was a lot braver than the last time we were there, maybe a little too brave for me. He ran right out there and it didn't even bother him when the waves took him under.

We only stayed about an hour and then headed home for bed and baths for school tomorrow! I love the pictures!

No Noah yet, now would be great for me! I am still having contractions but not close enough to go in, just enough to be annoying!

Birthday Pictures

Zachary's California Party!

Last Saturday, Kelly's birthday, my sister in law, Erin, put together a party for the boys at a local park. Ryan and Zachary's birthday's are a week apart so it is a lot of fun to celebrate together! It was a pirate theme and the cake was great! It wasn't a great day for us all around, the boys were all decked out in their U of L gear only to suffer that horrible loss! Enjoy the pictures!

Dr. appointment for week 37

I went back to the doctor today and I am 4 cm! Whooo Hooo! She said she could feel the sack of fluid so that I could go at anytime. I have been having a few contractions but nothing consistent. I never went into labor on my own with either one of the older two, but maybe the third time is a charm! I am hoping to go tonight! I will keep you updated.

I will post some pictures of Zachary's California birthday party tomorrow!

March pictures from California and Z's birthday

Dr. appointment and California update!

It has been a while since I have had a chance to update the blog. I had to wait until Cesar could set our computer up to be able to upload the pictures!

I went to the doctor on Thursday and everything still looks good. I really like the new doctor and we went and checked out the hospital and it looks nice too. They will give us a formal tour next Friday when I go back. I am already 2 cm dilated, but I stayed that way with Z for 2 weeks so I am not worried. I am sure I still have a little while.

We went to Disneyland yesterday and had a great time. It was really nice to be able to do something together before Zachary starts school. No stress, just a really nice family day.

The pictures are a mixture of the day before we left KY, Z's birthday, and some random shots of what we have been doing since we got here!

Chuck E. Cheese Pictures

Zachary's Birthday Party!

Today we had Zachary's 7th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. It was crazy crowded there and of course the kids were out of control! They seemed to have a good time though. It was nice to be able to see everyone one last time until June when we will return to KY for a visit! I do beleive it will be my last party at Chuck's place, I am worn out and I thought having it somewhere else was supposed to be easier! I feel like someone beat me! I took some pictures of course! His actual birthday is Monday and my parents and sister will be down for lunch and to play for awhile, it will be the last time we will see them until June. It will be a bittersweet day for us. I of course included a picture of Bella and her latest bow! She is beautiful!

Pictures from March

Just catching up!

It seems like the time is flying around here. Only 6 more days until we fly! There is so much to be done. Cesar has only been home a little over a week and we have been so busy since he got home preparing to leave we haven't even had any time to relax together. The boys are thrilled that he is home. I was worried that Isaiah would forget who he was and not want anything to do with him, boy was I wrong! He has turned into a HUGE daddy's boy and mostly only wants him. I must admit, I was a little sad. Zachary has been a daddy's boy for a while now, and nothing has changed. They missed having someone to wrestle with, and I missed listening to the laughter that hap pend when they are playing together. All is well now!

We got the computer back and they were able to recover all the files that were lost! Praise God! I didn't realize how many pictures that I have on the computer. It is now backed up and I am sending all the photos to Walgeens to be stored and and copying them to disks. This will take a while but it will be well worth it!

We found a great housing program for military families that might fix the housing situation completely! This program will buy your house, pay off your mortgage completely, if you can not sell after 3 months and have been ordered to PCS! This will be such a huge blessing for us if all works out. We will not make any money off of it, but we will not lose as much as if we would have to wait for it to sell on our own. With this housing market, it could be a year before we sell. With the unpredictability of the Army, we have decided to rent in CA until we get a more permanent placement. We could still have to move 2 more times before Cesar's career is over and we don't want to be in the same situation that we are here. This is a huge blessing for us and proof that God answers prayers!

We went to see Bella Ann yesterday so that Zachary and Isaiah could meet her face to face. Zachary is so sweet with babies. He held her and loved on her and kissed her a few times, then it was off to the Wii! He and Bradley Dylan hadn't been able to play together for a while so it was nice for them. Brady was asleep the whole time we were there. :( Isaiah wanted to carry Bella around the room himself! It was a little scary at first. He sat in the chair and wanted me to put her in his lap. I did, for about a second and then he was done. I am scared for Noah! I dressed her up and posed her on the couch for a photo shoot. She is beautiful of course!

This is a little all over the place but I want to get this all down while I have the chance, Isaiah is napping and Z isn't home yet! Enjoy the pictures!

Bella's Pictures

Introducing Bella Ann!

My BEAUTIFUL niece, Bella Ann, was born Saturday at 11:40 am. She is absolutely breathtaking to look at. She weighed 7 pounds and was 18.5 inches long. I love her so much. She got to come home today, and her big brothers took to her right away. My mom says that Brady even tried to climb into the bassinet with her. We are heading up to Shelbyville tomorrow so she can meet her big cousins and I will have plenty of pictures from that! Enjoy these pictures of the diva! She is going to be so spolied! Cesar is thanking God we have all boys or he would be broke!

It's been awhile! (Long post)

Ok so it's been a few weeks since I last posted. A lot is going on here in the Sanchez household. We are gearing up for the big move to California on March 17th. There is a lot to prepare for an Army move. You must first go to a transportation briefing, then they schedule a date for the movers to come and then you are gone. We are waiting on a date, should have one after the briefing on Tuesday. The last day my OB wants me to travel is the 17th so the boys and I are heading out then. Cesar's dad will fly in on that Friday the 20th, help pack up the rest of the house, the things we need now, and then they will drive the Uhaul out on Monday the 23rd. The plan is for Cesar to make it to CA by the 26th which is when I have my first OB appointment out there. Zachary's new school is year round, and they happen to be on Spring Break until the 30th of March so he will get a few days to get settled before having to start school. We plan on heading to Disneyland on the 27th for a family fun day, I can't wait!

Before we leave we are doing a big birthday party for Z at Chuck E Cheese on the 14th! I can not believe he will be 7, where does the time go? We wanted to do something big right before we leave so we can get the chance to see everyone.

What we need now is a miracle, we need this house to sell ASAP. This is the worse time for that I know, but I am a believer! Please pray for a quick sell, I need it more than you know!

On top of all that, my computer crashed and I lost all my pictures. It is at a computer place trying to get them recovered. I am crossing my fingers. Not only did I loose a lot of pictures, Cesar lost almost all of his Army information. Things from the beginning of his career. It has been a little stressful here at the Sanchez house, but we are getting through it! I am not posting any pictures until we get a better back up drive. I refuse to store them on the laptop until Cesar assures me they will be fine. I will be a lot better about backing things up, that's for sure. I am so glad I started this blog, at least I have a lot of pictures stored on here!

So, if you made it all the way to the end, I will keep updating you on the move. I will post some pictures of the party, and if you are free on the 14th, meet us at Chuck's place, we would love to see you before we leave!

Looks like we are headed to sunny CA!

Well ladies and gentlemen, we are moving the Sanchez Family once again. This time we will be headed back to California where Cesar will be recruiting for the Army. We got a temporary report date yesterday and should have "official" orders by Friday the 27th. Then we can call transportation and set up a time for them to come pack up the house. We are in a little bit of a hurry due to Noah's arrival and my ability to travel. It looks like we will be heading out there around the 15th of March. There is a lot to be done here at home in the next few weeks. The house needs to be put on the market, doctors need to be found in Ca, records requested here ect... I am asking for prayers for a quick sell of the house, safe travel, a quick adjustment for Zachary and Isaiah and a healthy arrival of Noah. The good thing is I can still update the blog from anywhere so I will keep you posted!

18 months!

I am late on this I know, but we were in California when he turned 18th months! We have not had an 18th month check up yet, we are scheduled next Thursday so I will give you the stats then. I am sure he is growing just fine!

He is into everything. He is growing so fast, right before my eyes it seems. He is finally starting to talk. I still think he is behind, but it is a lot better than 15 months. He now wakes up and yells for mama. It melts my heart. He climbs on everything, the kitchen table, the end table, the gate, the chairs, Z's bed ect... He has broken one lamp so far, I am sure there will be more. He loves his brother and wants to do everything he does. He is a pretty good eater, loves any kind of fruit. He just started dipping food. He is not a big fan of ketchup, but wants it if Zachry has it. He likes to tease the dogs and barks like one. That is his only animal noise. He can build with blocks a 2 block tower. He can hit a baseball off the tee. He throws really well. He uses both hands to eat and throw. He loves balls, any size or shape. He is attached to his blanket and paci still. His favortie show is Handy Manny and the Backyardigans. He loves to dance and it's really funny when he does. He signs more and now says it too. He watches everything you do and repeats most of it. I caught him trying to cut his toenails with the clippers the other day!

I am sure I have missed a lot of his skills. He is so special to us. I can't imange my life without him. I always thought I would have a house full of little girls but now I can not imange my life without my boys! Isaiah you are the best little thing and Mommy and Daddy love you more and more each day. We can not wait to see what you do next. I know you will accomplish lots of great things! love you bunches baby!

Valentine Day pictures from California

Trip to CA!

We got back from California yesterday after a long day of flying! We had a great time out there. The kids were spoiled by the grandparents and they got to play with their cousins that they usually don't get to see. I took some pictures, not as many as I would like. The big boys are hard to catch on camera! Isaiah did pretty well out there. He slept ok, the time change really got him. Some mornings he was up at 4:30 CA time. It made for a tired mommy. I also had to rock him to sleep, something I don't do here at home. He has a hard time falling asleep anywhere but home. He slept ok once he was asleep though. We also shared a room, something that is hard on mommy! Zachary, of course, took to the time change and everything else like a champ. He always does. He is my go with the flow baby, or big boy. I got to have a girls day with my sister in law and we spent Valentine's Day with the kids since we were both without our sweethearts. It was a fun filled night at McDonalds and then this frozen yogurt place that was great! I can not wait to go back there again. Enjoy all the pictures!

Not About Me Tuesday

Tuesday's Tribute
Yet Another Jay and Deb Production.

Here is my first entry on Tuesday for Not all about Me! Today I would like to thank my California Family. I just came back from a week long trip to see Cesar's side of the family and to let the boys be spoiled by the grandparents! It was really nice. It was a great break for mom, who desperately needed one with Cesar gone. My sister in law treated me to a pedicure and manicure and a girls day on Monday and I will be forever grateful! It was so nice to spend the day with another grown up and no kids! My mother and father in law cooked great meals and loved on the boys the whole time. They also gave me a surprise shower for Noah while I was there. It is so nice to have such a wonderful family! Thanks to you all!
