OUTNUMBERED AND LOVING IT

Welcome to the Sanchez Family. We are a God loving, church going, unconditional loving, Army family of three wild and crazy boys and one 100 pound english bulldog, taking it one day at a time. I'm the mom, the only girl in the house, and the Queen. Hang on tight, it's sure to be a wild ride!

1 month already!

Time really does seem to fly when you have children. I can not beleive my last baby is already one month old! Where does the time go? It doesn't seem like it was that long ago I was bringing him home. Noah is a great baby. He sleeps well, he eats great and he is pretty laid back. He really doesn't have much choice on being laid back, his middle brother takes a lot of mommy's time! His reflux seems to be getting worse so we are going to the doctor on Thursday to change medicine and see if that helps. We are slowly getting used to 3 boys, 2 of those boys under 2! Routines are getting established, chores are getting done now, and dinner is usually being cooked! It is all working out. I love being a mom to three boys and wouldn't have it any other way!

Love the 5 minutes sites!

I am a HUGE fan of 5 minutes for books! I love to read, although there seems to be no time lately, and this is a great site for finding books that I probably would not normally chose for myself. They have a lot of other great 5 minute sites so I added them to my sidebar. Check them out they are great!

Noah's first bath pictures

Noah's first bath

We gave Noah his first bath last night! His belly button fell off about a week ago but it wasn't ready and so we had to have some medicine put on it and then wait for it to heal before he could have a tub bath. He actually liked it pretty well! As you can see after, he fell asleep and slept 4 hours before eating again!!! I think we will have a bath every night!

Picture of my boys!

This is what happens when you turn your back on Isaiah!

I must have the smartest boy in America. I am talking about my middle child. He seems to know the best time to get in trouble, right when I am nursing Noah. I am usually sitting on the couch in the playroom and he is just out of reach. Yesterday I wanted to take some pictures of the boys and while we were in the playroom Noah got hungry. So I started to feed him on the floor and Isaiah starts to get in trouble right after I get Noah latched on. This is what happened yesterday. I wasn't' close enough to get him so I just grabbed the camera. If I don't laugh at him I might go crazy!!

Yes, he takes all the books of the shelf and then uses the shelf for climbing! I see a trip to the ER in our future!

Happy Mother's Day

I know this is a little late! Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there. I had a great day, well weekend! We went to lunch on Saturday with my mother-in-law. We took her to BJ's. I wanted to miss the crowds, especially with 3 kids! There was no wait and we had a nice lunch. My brother-in-law joined us and then we headed back to the house where he hooked our Wii up to the Internet so Bradley Dylan and Zachary can now play against each other!

Sunday we headed to Ontario Mills, the outlet mall here and got Isaiah some new tennis shoes and had an ice cream! I love ice cream but have been trying to cut it out to help lose the baby weight faster! I decided that Mother's Day was a good occasion to have some! I got Wii fit from my wonderful husband and a super cute picture frame from my boys! We then headed over to grandmas so Z could watch Hotel for Dogs with Papa and we had a great dinner of tostadas! I found the boys all new shirts about mom so I made them wear them on Saturday for lunch! Enjoy the pictures of me and my boys!

More Isaiah drama!!

Today I had to take Isaiah to the doctor. I thought he had an ear infection or something because he just wasn't acting right. Who knew that taking two kids to the doctor, which is literally 2 miles down the road would take me 1 1/2 hours! When we got home I got Isaiah out first and told him to go in the house. What was I thinking?! He is 20 months old for goodness sake! I look up after getting Noah out of his seat and he is at the end of the driveway playing! I go to get him and he decides to take off running. I catch him, spank him, he could have cared less! After getting them both in the house, I notice Noah's diaper leaked! I get Isaiah into the playroom, shut the gate and get Noah changed. He is of course hungry, his eyes are open after all, but I leave him in the playpen while I try to get Isaiah a quick lunch before a much needed nap. I get lunch ready for Isaiah, cheese, a bananna, and yogurt and sit down to feed Noah, who by the way is now screaming his head off! I look over at my angle in the highchair and this is what I see!

Needless to say he got a bath before nap and now he is sleeping! Peace at last!

What happens when you are nursing the baby and the toddler is running wild....

The Wiggles fell victim to Isaiah and landed under the DVD player. I couldn't figure out why the DVD player wouldn't close. After taking it apart I found the Wiggles smiling up at me! I just can't keep up with him and he always seems to act up when I am nursing and can't get to him...smart little guy isn't he?! Dr. Abbott told me that he would be a terror until Noah was about 4 months old...if he makes it that long it will be a miracle! The only thing keeping him alive now is his cute smiling face!!

2 week appointment!

Yesterday Noah had his two week appointment with Dr. Chang. He is a really nice doctor, just not Dr. Abbott, really not even close. I was really wishing I could have been taking him to see Lindsey and Amanda yesterday but it is just not meant to be! Don't worry, we will be visiting as soon as we get to KY. I will probably use that time to double check all that Dr. Chang has told me...yes I am that kind of mom! He does take his time and spend as much time as you need answering questions and just chatting. I like that about him. He does seem to be on top of things and that's good too.

Noah weighed in at 9 pounds and 2 ounces and is 21 inches long already. He is already in the 57 percentile in his weight, not really surprising for my children. He has been really fussy the past couple of nights and I thought his reflux was getting worse. I said something to Dr. Chang and the medicine is weight based, so, since he gained almost 2 pounds in a week and a half he needs more medicine. We changed the dosage and last night was much better. He said we would have to keep an eye on how he was acting and if it gets worse again bring him in for a weight check and maybe a change in the amount of medicine that he gets. His umbilical cord fell off but there is still some left in his belly button. Dr. Chang had to use some sort of medicine on a stick and now it is turning black and drying up. He still can not have a tub bath until that happens. I was all set to give him his first bath last night, but now it will have to wait. It already looks a lot better this morning so maybe it will heal fast. Other than that he is perfect, which I already knew! Here are some new pictures and some of the van and the house, mostly unpacked!

More pictures!

My first week at home alone and a new car!

Today starts my first week at home with no help! My mom left on Saturday and Cesar went to work today. So far so good. I got Z to school on time, and now both the little ones are sleeping and I am trying to update the blog. I have dinner on the stove and the laundry started. The only hard thing about today is that for Zachary's school Tuesday's are minimum days, which means he gets out of school every Tuesday at 12:48, right in the middle of Isaiah's nap. I am fortunate to have my mother in law live right around the corner and she is going to pick him up today. It saves me from having to wake up a toddler to early then having to deal with him later when he is over tired!

Noah is doing great, gaining weight and eating like a pig. He is a pretty good sleeper, only getting up 2 to 3 times a night to eat and then going right back to sleep. Much better than Isaiah, even now! For that I am thankful. He is a pretty content baby too. Good thing, his middle brother demands a lot of attention! Isaiah is having a rough time. He is really getting mean lately. He hits and bites Zachary and EVERYTHING is his. He says "no" and "mine" all day long. My doctor says that this will last for about 4 months and then he should be adjusted and back to normal. He will be lucky if he makes it 4 months! I feel bad for Z, he just puts up with it and goes on. I am so blessed to have a child like him, easy going and super helpful! We are still trying to get into some sort of routine, it is so important for me. I love routines! I am sure it will come, I know I need to be patient!

I have been really missing my grandfather lately. He has really been on my mind a lot the past couple of days. I think it's because I really wish he could have been here to see Noah, I know he is seeing him from above. I just wanted to have him hold him and here him tell me and gran what a "dandy" he is. So I dressed Noah in his baseball outfit yesterday and had a good cry. I felt much better after that. Later that evening when I was watching a movie with Z the song "Put me in coach" came on and that's when I knew Granddaddy was right there, smiling down saying what a "dandy" Noah was.

We had been using my brother in law's car since we got here and they needed it back so we went yesterday to try to find a van. We got a great deal on a Dodge Caravan and brought it home yesterday! I love the van. I will post some pictures of it later, I haven't had a chance to take any yet!

Reflux---Again!

I have thought since the day that we brought Noah home that he had reflux like his brother. I tried waiting it out but the more days that passed the worse it got. I call the doctor on Friday, made an appointment and came home with Zantac, just like Isaiah! The good news is that I knew what it was and Noah didn't suffer as long as Isaiah did. He takes the Zantac twice a day and everything is much better!

In other news he now weighs 7 pounds and 8 ounces! My children gain weight with NO problem! He came home from the hospital at 6 pounds and 13 ounces, that's what he weighed at his 2 day check on Tuesday and on Friday he gained WAY past his birth weight!

I will post some new pictures later. We are heading to Grandma's and Papa's to have lunch and do a little swimming so I will have some new pictures later!

Noah Edward

Introducing Noah Edward Sanchez!

Noah Edward was born April 18th at 5:17am weighing 7 pounds and 2 ounces and he was 19 inches long. He was one day away from his due date. He was born at Loma Linda Medical Center in Loma Linda CA. I had been to the hospital earlier in the day with what I thought was fluid leakage and some contractions but they sent me home at around 7 saying that I was not in active labor. Cesar and I went to get the boys at his mother's house and ended up staying for dinner. Papa made quesadillas and beans and they were great! We went home, put the boys to bed and then the contractions really started! At around 9:30 I thought I couldn't take it anymore but I did not want to be the mother they sent home twice in one day, especially with her 3rd child! So I waited it out as long as I could. I woke Cesar up at 12:00 and we called his mom and headed to the hospital. On the way we ran into traffic, only in CA at midnight would you run into traffic. The hospital is only 25 minutes away and the contractions were horrible! I have no tolerance for pain and it was bad! We got to the hospital and finally got the epidural, it was heaven! I took a little nap and then at 5 am the doctor came in to check me and I was at 10. She asked me if I wanted her to break my water or wait, I said break it! She broke my water at 5:09 and two pushes later Noah was born at 5:17! It was the easiest labor of all three!

We went home Sunday evening and have been busy getting the house together ever since. He is a wonderful baby, only getting up twice at night. Zachary is a great big brother and Isaiah is adjusting better then I thought he would. He loves him, sometimes a little too much! I love being a mom to these boys and it is a great feeling to know my family is complete. I will be posting lots of pictures soon. Here are the ones from the hospital and the first few days at home!
