OUTNUMBERED AND LOVING IT

Welcome to the Sanchez Family. We are a God loving, church going, unconditional loving, Army family of three wild and crazy boys and one 100 pound english bulldog, taking it one day at a time. I'm the mom, the only girl in the house, and the Queen. Hang on tight, it's sure to be a wild ride!

Awards Day and the last fay of Kindergarten! :(

Thursday was Zachary's last day of school! They had a school wide awards program and Mrs. Olivencia let us know that he wold be getting an award. So I packed up Isaiah and the camera and we headed off to the school at 9 am! Zachary got the Principal's Award for Kindergarten and the reading award for his class! I am so proud of how good he is doing in school. I hope his love of learning continues for the rest of his school years! After awards we hung out in the classroom for the rest of the day and took a walk, played outside and had lunch on picnic tables with the class. They love to see Isaiah and he loves to play with them. Zachary's first grade teacher will have a hard time competing with his kindergarten one. Mrs. Olivencia was great. She really made this mom's transition to school an easy one. We were blessed for sure. I almost forgot, I was elected to the SBDMC and the PTO Board! I will be busy next year. It just isn't in my nature to site back and let everyone else do the work! Now it's the start of summer and camps and trips to visit Grandma, and Isaiah's 1st birthday! Enjoy your summer, and enjoy your extra time with your kiddos!

Kindergarten Graduation!

Today was Zachary's kindergarten graduation at Woodland Elementary! It was such a great thing to see. I only shed a few tears. I am so proud of Zachary and how smart he is. He got lots of awards and will be getting one Thursday at the school wide awards program! He is such a god reader that he has 452 sight words! That one blew me away. He such a blessing to me and his daddy and his brother. We are so blessed to have such a great son and one that loves to learn. His teacher, Mrs. Olivencia said that he comes to school everyday ready to learn and willing to participate in anything. It makes me so proud as a mom to hear that. After graduation I brought Zachary home and we had ice cream cake with Nana, Grandpa, Kel, Bradley Dylan and Brady Lee. They came to see him graduate! Of course I took lots of pictures so enjoy the slide show!

I hope everyone had a happy and safe holiday weekend. It was mostly nice weather so we enjoyed a lot of time outside this weekend. We worked around the house on Saturday and got a lot of things done. I got my bench painted and all my flowers potted! My house is really coming together now! We also had a cookout at my mom's on Sunday. Michael Eric made an appearance! He is sooooooo cute. I forgot my camera at home but I took some pictures with my phone! Tomorrow is kindergarten graduation for Zachary. I am sure I will be crying. I will post some pictures tomorrow of my graduate! Enjoy the pictures of Michael and say an extra prayer for the new parents!

Michael Eric Douglas made his grand entrance into the world at 7:30 pm last night. Only after putting his mommy through almost 24 hours of labor! He weighed 7 pounds and 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Brittany and Clint are doing great and happy to be new parents! I will post a picture as soon as I get one. I am hoping to get to the hospital today!

A husband home and a baby on the way....

Tonight we went to the airport to welcome home SGT. Clinton Douglas, my cousins husband, for his R&R from Iraq. Brittany and Clint met at our wedding in October of 2006 and got married in June of 2007. Clint deployed to Iraq in September of 2007 and Brittany found out she was pregnant in October of 2007. Well he made it home tonight for his R&R, 18 days at home in the middle of the tour, and much to his surprise Brittany will be induced tonight! She has been having some problems, such as high blood pressure, and poor functioning kidneys. They called her this afternoon and told her that her blood work was abnormal and they wanted to take the baby tonight. She asked them if she could wait until she picked up her husband and they said that would be fine. When we left Hooters they were on their way to Surban to get everything started. Please say a little prayer for them tonight! We are hoping to welcome Michael Eric Douglas into the world very soon!

Busy, Busy Weekend!

Wow! We seem to keep having busy weekends! It is the only time that we can hang out with my family so we are on the road all weekend. As I posted earlier, it was Bradley Dylan's birthday so we partied all weekend. It was a lot of fun. On Sunday we went to the Steeplechase at the horse park in Lexington. It was a lot of fun. It was our first time going and we will go again next year. They had a kids area, and Jack Russel dog races that the kids loved. The weather was great and it was a really fun time. Cesar had drill all weekend so he missed out on a lot of fun. He did get to Hooters Sunday for dinner so he was happy with that!

Enjoy the pictures!

Happy 4th Birthday Bradley Dylan!

Today is my nephew's 4th birthday! He is just the best thing, in my opinion. I love his wonderful sense of humor and the way he comes out with the best sayings! He loves to make you laugh and likes to push the limits as far as possible. He is 100% boy and I love it. I love to call and listen to him talk. He is my favorite reason for driving all the way to Shelbyville. He makes me laugh on a daily basis. You are not supposed to have favorites, but I must admit he is mine! At least until Brady can read this blog! We celebrated with him all weekend! Friday we went to Incredible Dave's and had dinner and played games. Zachary went home with them and spent the night. Saturday he had a party at the Homemade Ice Cream and Pie Kitchen and Sunday we went to the Steeplechase in Lexington. It was a lot of fun. I took a lot of pictures and Kelly did too. I will post a slide show of them soon.

Happy Birthday Bradley Dylan, Sissa loves you to the moon and back! You are my heart and the best 4 year old that I know! Love you bunches!

Z's first baseball game!

I know it's been a long time since I have updated the blog! It's not easy when you are chasing after an extremely active 9 month old! You will have to scroll down and look at all the posts from today!

Yesterday Zachary had his first baseball game in Shelbyville. He is playing coach pitch this year and he did awesome! He had two great hits and a really good stop. Of course his entire cheering section was there to cheer him along! He is on the Yankee team, a little disappointed it wasn't the Dodgers, but happy to play! I took a bunch of pictures, enjoy them! He has another on Thursday, unless it gets rained out. It was really nice for my grandfather to be able to watch him yesterday. I love that we decided to play there, even though it's sometimes a long drive! We saw Beth and Rachael at the park watching Jack practice t-ball. It was nice to be able to see them in person, instead of always on the computer! I am sure we will see a lot of them this summer while the boys play ball.

Happy 9 months Isaiah!

Wow! 9 months already. Isaiah has changed a lot this month. He is doing so much now. We went for his 9 month check-up yesterday and he weighs 21.8 lbs and is 29 inches long. He got his finger pricked and one shot and only cried a little. Dr. Abbott said that he was looking great and right on track! Of course I already thought he was perfect.

Here is what he is doing at 9 months(at least what I can remember):
*crawls everywhere
*climbs steps
*pulls up on everything and everybody
*cries when you take away something he was playing with
*gets mad and stiffens his arms and legs
*eats some table food
*loves to eat anything
*has 6 teeth, 4 on the top and 2 on the bottom
*loves his paci
*sleeps with his lovey
*gets up once a night to eat
*drinks out of a sippy
*finger feeds really well
*loves, puffs, mum mums, grilled cheese, scrambled eggs, beans, rice, mashed potatoes, fruit, peas, cherrios
*eats frozen fruit in his little mesh thing and cries for more
*waves bye bye, mostly only to his brother
*claps
*signs more and all done
*looks for Zachary when we get to school to pick him up
*chases the dogs
*shuts doors
*yells down the step for Z
*likes to chew on the nose sucker(a clean one!)

I am sure there is more! He is so different from Zachary. Zachary was a really laid back baby. He didn't get into much and he left the plugs alone, not this one! He is my little nosey rosey! We have so many gates up around the house! It has been so much fun watching him grow and change! I love you Cesar Isaiah!

Happy (late) Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all the Mom's out there! It was a great day in the Sanchez house. I woke up with both my boys and got a great handmade card from Z! It was the best card of the day. My husband got me a new tv for the bedroom! Yeah! I have been watching the little one ever since he gave our nice one to Z to use in the playroom and the Wii. I have been having to squint to bring the images into focus since March! Not anymore!! We all got ready and went to Shelbyville to have lunch at Claudia Sanders, yummy. We had lunch with my grandparents, Aunt Mary, my parents and Kel Brad and the boys. It was a really nice time. We came home and finished painting the boys rooms and then fell into bed! I haven't taken any pictures of the boys rooms yet but I will post them as soon as I finish the decorations! Blogger won't let me add images to the post so I will be uploading a lot of slide shows!

Backyardigans!

We took Isaiah to see the Backyardigans, Saturday with Kel and the boys. They were live at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. I am not sure if any of you have seen anything live like that but this one wasn't the greatest. I was really disappointed in it. They weren't in full costume, their faces were cut out, and it wasn't their voices either. The music kept Isaiah's attention and he seemed to like it, as much as a 9 month old could! Bradley Dylan said they weren't the real ones but he liked it. I wouldn't recommend it, Sesame Street Live was much better! I took some pictures but they wouldn't let me take pictures of the play!

6 TEETH!!!

While we were at baseball practice this afternoon, Isaiah was hanging upside down. It seems to be his new favorite position and my Gran saw his two eye teeth had poked through! I totally missed it! I couldn't believe it. He now has 4 teeth on the top and 2 on the bottom! I will try to get a picture tomorrow!

Weekend News and Isaiah's New Tricks!

We had a great but busy weekend! It was so nice outside that I talked my husband into getting some things for outside. We headed to Lowes on Saturday to get some flower boxes and flowers! We also went to Shoe Carnival to get Zachary some new cleats for baseball, and then we had much at Fergies in Elizabethtown. Once we got home I put Cesar to work. The flower boxes look great and the two trees we got for the front door entry make a huge difference!

We then headed inside to watch the Derby. No one in this house had the winner :(. Zachary was made that his horse, Z Fourtune, didn't win and he decided that he wouldn't watch it anymore and left us to go play the Wii. After the Derby I put my wonderful husband to work inside. Now that Isaiah is crawling we have had to baby proof the house in a hurry. He installed gates at the steps to the basement and at the top of the ones upstairs. We then put in a balconly guard upstairs to keep his little arms and legs inside. He then got to install his new Perfect Pull-up Bar in the basement workout room and the kids tested it out.

Sunday Isaiah decided to show up how he can now pull up on anything! He was pulling up on us while we were sitting on the floor but now he uses anything he can find to pull up on. He hasn't, as of yet, tried to pull up in the crib but I know it's coming soon. We got ready and headed out to church. We were even ready early. When we got there we realized that no one else seemed to be in the parking lot. We unloaded, got inside, still empty. I finally asked one of the greaters and she told me that they decided, last week, to move the service to 10:30! We missed last week so we didn't know. Well we had an hour to kill and we decided to head home. Isaiah ended up falling asleep so we missed church again. I headed back out to Lowes to look for a couple of pots and to get two more flower boxes for the back deck. We got the rest of the flowers planted and Cesar sowed some seed and then watered it, with the help of his youngest. It was then time for Zachary's first baseball practice. We decided to have him play in Shelbyville since the whole family is there and it would be easier for him to have a cheering section. It was a lot of fun. Zachary really loves baseball. His daddy is so good at helping out and he loves to help coach Z's teams!

This morning, Monday, while we were getting ready for school, Isaiah decided to show us one more new trick. He can now climb stairs!! What am I going to do?! Oh well, it's off to Wal-Mart for a few more gates to keep "Mr. Destructo" confined!

I hope everyones weekend was as great as ours! Enjoy the pictures of my family!

Update on Z and a Baby Shower!

I really appreciate those who have been lifting Zachary up in prayer. He seemed to get along with the therapist really well yesterday and is looking forward to going back to see her again. They drew some pictures and she even had a sand table that he is looking forward to playing with next time. We saw on her website where she has a therapy dog and so he is, of course, going to ask her about it. He will be going every other week for a little while. Cesar and I were able to meet with her first and express our fears and worries about Zachary. She said that she would discuss with us what she felt we needed to know but she would always let Zachary know that first. I really liked her and felt at ease with leaving my child with her. She also helped me not to feel so much like it was my fault, that has been a problem for me lately.

On Saturday I forgot to mention that I went to my cousin's baby shower. It was held at my MeaMaw's house and it was a great time. There were a lot of people there celebrating this new life. Her in-laws even traveled down from Michigan to attend with two of her nieces. She is going to have a little boy at the end of May.
Funny story about her and how she met her husband. She was a bridesmaid in my wedding and her husband was one of Cesar's good friends who also served with him in Iraq. At first I had actually tried to hook her up with another soldier, sorry Clint! After the wedding a bunch of people headed down to 4th street to continue with the party. They ended up meeting there and talked all night. That was in October, they got engaged in December and married in June! Her dad likes to blame me for this! Her husband redeployed to Iraq in September of 07 and she found out she was pregnant in October. She is due with Michael Eric Douglas in May and we are crossing our fingers that his daddy makes it home for his mid-tour leave in time. He will have to return to Iraq after 18 days at home with his new family and then will return for good in December of this year. Michael Eric is named for a 101st soldier who lost his life defending our country the day before they were to return, August 31st 2006, the 3rd Brigade's only loss. SSG Michael "Renegade Stalker" Deason, you will never be forgotten!
